Physical Education

The physical education program takes full account of students’ physical and cognitive development and is based upon State of California standards.

In the Lower Division, Physical Education emphasizes movement, coordination, and foundational motor skills through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. Students explore body awareness, spatial concepts, and the principles of force and control. They progress from basic locomotor movements to more complex skills like throwing, catching, dribbling, kicking, and striking.
