Type: Honors

Available to: all qualified students, see placement requirements on the Arts Department page

Ceramics 2 Honors incorporates similar lessons to Ceramics 2, providing students with the chance to deepen their artistic discoveries and make informed, independent choices. This select group of students embark on a more profound exploration, crafting a portfolio that exemplifies their skills and reflects their journey in working with clay. This curriculum is notably more rigorous than Ceramics 2, as students will be required to fulfill the AP “sustained investigation” requirement of 15 completed pieces. Submitting the portfolio to the College Board for an AP score is an option. Eligibility is based on successful completion of Ceramics 2 and the permission of the teacher, or a portfolio review by the instructor and final approval by the department head. This class meets with the Ceramics 2 class.
